Good Morning All: Google has recently terminated the way our blog postings were processed. As a consequence, I am using another posting method and have not yet mastered its idiosyncrasies. I hope you will bear with me as I master this process. If you receive duplicates of a posting, please let me know. It helps me with the process.
Hi All,
On Sunday, June 4 we head to Dallas (via Amtrak) to spend the night. We then board a Southwest Airlines flight to SEATAC in Washington State on Monday. We arrive at around noon and then head to pick up our camper and truck. As some of you will recall, we took the camper to Washington State on January 1 to have it rebuilt by Southside RV in Lakeside, WA (just outside of Tacoma, WA). In addition to leaving the camper, we left our truck and flew back home.
We met a great new friend (Peter Walsh) on our trip up in January who has taken photographs of the rebuilding process and posting them on the web. Peter had his camper (same make and model as ours) rebuilt by Southside. Peter lives only 10 miles from the company and enjoys keeping us up-to-date on the process. In fact, he periodically gives the company a hand when over there.
Upon picking up the camper, we will head to a storage unit we rented to keep all the contents of the camper while the restoration process was going on. We will spend the next couple of days in the Tacoma area while Peter and I do some last prep on the camper. We then pickup our friends Diane and John Jackson at SEATAC and head for Vancouver Island. The four of us will spend 7-8 days exploring the island.
We hope all of you will travel with us as we spend the months of June, July and August in Washington, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana.

Samuel AyerLooking forward to seeing photos the UN-NEW camper. We did the train to dallas a few years back…it took a while but was interesting. Happy trails.
HaroldWell, we are NOT quite taking the Amtrak train. Seems work is being done on the tracks between Longview and Austin. Consequently, Amtrak is boarding us on a bus which will take us to Dallas! Oh well, at least we probably have a better chance of getting there on time!
