Ugghh…

Well, unfortunately it can not all be fun and games. During our trip to Big Bend, we noticed the frig acting funny. Back in Jefferson, we had a service guy check it out. It seemed fine. Well, a couple of days ago it started acting up again. We decided not to push our luck and have it go out completely while we were in Newfoundland so we called Grumbines RV dealership in Harrisburg, PA. They ordered us a new unit so yesterday we had it installed. Initially it was going to cost us around $1600. Unfortunately the final bill was $2391.77! Seem that when they tried to take the old unit out, it would not fit through the door so the only other alternative was to remove the slide-out! Over 8 hours later we were back on the road….

Oh well, as Meriam is fond of saying “If you don’t expect to have some bumps in the road, you had better stay at home!”

We will be spending the next week around the general area of Lancaster, PA. Hopefully the next post will be more entertaining.
