As you might recall, we spent 5 days in Red Lodge. During this time we attended 2 parades, their PRCA Xtreme Bull Riding event, and their 4th of July Rodeo. In this post we combine two of their parades into one posting.
Two cute parade watchers decked out in their cowboy hats.I was fortunate to catch the juxtaposition of the American flags and aircraft in formation at the start of the parade. The opening of the parade with the National Anthem.Oh, the anticipation!A country of horses and pretty cowgirls!A lot of MAGA folks in Montana. Notice the kids with their hands out? It seemed every float tossed out candy!A glimpse of the crowd. This represents about 1/4th of the crowd. Its a farming area after all.A parade is not complete without Llamas…??? Notice the gentleman in front carrying a bow…I hadn’t thought of llamas being that dangerous!
Kind of ugly, huh?
This is sweet! Seems this area of Montana was settled by a large group of Norwegians. A great handmade float.Another shot of the fly over. You think they’re patriotic around here?
This band comes from Sheridan, Wyoming, over 3 hours from Red Lodge.
Meriam loved this float…Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).How many small town parades include an airplane? No parade is complete without Smokey the Bear!
